WHAT IS TMT BARS |
| Thermomechanically treated also known in short as TMT is a new generation high strength steel having extraordinary superior properties like weldabilty, strength , ductility and bendability conforming to the highest international standards . Under thermomechanical treatment the steel bars are made to pass through a specially designed water quenching and self cooling system. Where in the bars are kept for such a period of time that the outer surface of the bars become colder while the core remain hot. This creates a temperature gradient the bars are then removed and placed on the cooling bed, the heat flows from the core to the outer surface causing further tempering of steel bars thereby resulting in higher strength of the steel. This is known as TMT. |

Why we should go for PRS SURAKSHA TMT BARS. |
1. Excellent Bond Strength:- The rib pattern of PRS Suraksha TMT Bars are designed to ensure excellent bonding between the bars and concrete. The bond strength is in excess of 100% , higher than that of M.S.plane bars and conventional CTD bars .
2. Excellent Weldability:- Due to low carbon content PRS Suraksha TMT Bars have far more superior welding ability than conventional CTD Bars.
3. Superior bendability:- The tough outer surface and the maliable core of PRS Suraksha TMT Bars make it extra ductile and bendable, as compared to other steel bars.
4. Superior resistance to corrosion: - PRS Suraksha TMT Bars being manufactured by Thermomechanical treatment process leaves no residual stress on the bars. This results in superior resistance to corrosion.
5. Dimensional Tolerances :- PRS Suraksha conforms to the standards as laid down Under IS: 1786 for dimensional tolerances.
6. More Economical:- PRS Suraksha TMT Bars are new generation high strength bars which have properties to take high stress levels resulting in less consumption of steel thus economizing and saving valuable finance and money of our clients.
7. High Temperature Resistance: - PRS Suraksha TMT Bars exhibit higher thermal resistance even at temperature in excess of 600C the retentions of strength and resistance to softening is attributed to steel chemistry. PRS Suraksha TMT Bars are ideally suited for use in places prone to fire hazards. |

USING OF TMT BARS:- |
| TMT Bars forms an integral part of every reinforced concrete structure these are widely used in multistoried building, tunnels, flyovers, transmission towers, industrial units, bridges and nuclear reactors. TMT Steel alone accounts for and contributes to 40% of concrete structures. |
